It’s been awesome spending the afternoon on the campus of UMD. I’m thinking tonight’s Gathering is going to be something really special and I can’t wait for it. But it’s already been a fantastic day. I spent my morning in meetings about Daybreak and Haiti. Over the next week or so, you’re going to hear us talking a lot about those two Take Action initiatives of The Gathering. Some pretty amazing things are coming together to serve the residents of Lincoln Heights through Daybreak and our friends in Percin in Haiti. Stay tuned for announcements about upcoming trips and outreaches.
But for today, I just wanted to say how grateful I am to be a part of a community of students who care deeply about the world. I love your hearts to serve, to give, to lift others, to make people’s lives a little better and to share the hope that is found only in the name of Jesus. Keep loving the world in the name of the One who died for the rescue of us all. Keep believing that God can do something great through you. Keep believing that even when you’re scared, he’s able. Take Action. On your campus. In our city. In the world.
