Half Way There

We’re two sessions into our fall retreat and I’m totally blown away by God’s kindness to us.  Here’s the quick download of what’s been happening:

- Interesting travels to Concord: lots of traffic, lots of Chik-Fil-A, a bus without air-conditioning and lots of laughs on the way.

- Amazing first session.  Nick, Martha, Louis, Caleb and Tim did a PHENOMENAL job leading us!  Students sang like crazy.  Don’t think this retreat center has ever heard anything like it before!  Unreal.  Felt like heaven pressed a little closer to earth.

- Very little sleeping.  We’re good with that!!

- Spoken about worship and Biblical community so far.  Challenged by God’s Word.  Want to do more than hear.  Want to live it out.

- Students are in groups with their individual campuses right now processing what God is doing in them this weekend.

- Beautiful weather.

- Huge hope for the rest of today and tomorrow.

I would love to have you praying for us today and tomorrow morning.  God is doing something here; more than we imagined.  I feel like culture is shifting, forming, distilling.  It’s awesome.  Praying we can live it out when we get back to campus.

From West Virginia,

John
