I’m really looking forward to speaking this weekend at all of our Frontline services. Even though we’re calling the talk “You’re Not Gonna Like This”, I’m pretty sure you’ll find it a really encouraging and hopeful night. We’re going to be looking at a seldom discussed story in 1 Kings 22 that reminds all of us of the value of having someone in our lives who will be honest with us even when we don’t want to hear it. I know that sounds simple but as we explore the text together, I think we’re all going to be challenged by some of the ideas that come to the surface. We’re not just talking about finding a good friend. We’re talking about what lives in our hearts, how to deal with that and how to live a life that glorifies Jesus.
