Places The Anchor You

I was at Georgetown earlier today for a meeting with some other campus ministry leaders.  When it was finished, I had a few free minutes to wander around campus.  To be honest, I almost always make time to wander around that campus!  Yes, it’s beautiful.  But it’s also where I went to school as an undergrad.  I love meandering through the campus and thinking back on those years.  I love thinking about the excitement, the potential, the freshness and the optimism.  And I’m reminded of the confusion, pain and frustrations as well.  It all washes over me as I walk around.  It’s the place where I fell in love with life on a university campus.  And it’s a place that always reminds me of what God has called me to do in life.

We all need places that anchor us.  Places that remind you of what matters most.  Places that remind you of how you want to live.  Places that remind you of the person you long to become.

Georgetown is that place for me.  I pray you find yours in life.
