One Last Sprint

Now that Thanksgiving’s in the rear view mirror, it’s time to focus in on the next couple of weeks. This short little window between Thanksgiving and Christmas is one of the busiest sprints of the year. Finals, papers, classes, parties, exams, trips home and all the other Christmas stuff make for a wild couple of weeks.

We’re all headed back to campus today to start the sprint tomorrow. My prayer for all of us in the weeks to come is that we would keep our eyes relentlessly focused on Jesus. Remember:

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

- Isaiah 40: 28-31
