Hello, Georgetown!

For about a year now, a small team of students at Georgetown have been carrying a dream that God might make a way for The Gathering to become an affiliated ministry on that campus. You’ve read about them on this blog and I’ve had the honor of getting to know them personally. They’re an amazing group, I love their energy, I love their heart to make Jesus famous on that campus. This morning I couldn’t be happier for them.

We’re in!!!

Georgetown just notified us that we’ve been accepted and can now do ministry on that campus. There’ll be much coming over the summer as we announce our plans for Georgetown. But for now, please just celebrate with me. Our God is really good and the words of Psalm 126 just seem to flow out of my heart this morning:

“Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The LORD has done great things for them.
The LORD has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.”
