Seniors

Last night at AU was filled with so many poignant moments for me.

Worship was amazing – I loved ending the semester with an acoustic night; it was so powerful to hear all of your voices ringing out so clearly in worship!  I felt like students were really embracing the idea of being used by God to share the Gospel.  I loved seeing students line up to take communion.
But for all of that, being able to pray for our seniors was the highlight for me.  I’ve known some of you since you were freshman.  What I’ve seen God do in your lives is nothing short of miraculous.  You’ve grown into strong, passionate followers of Jesus Christ.  You’ve shaped a ministry and started to tip a culture in a new direction.  You’ve inspired me.  You’ve challenged me.  God has used you to confirm my absolute belief in the power of this generation to do amazing things for God.
I will miss you.
But I also know your lives are going to continue to unfold in elaborate expressions of worship.  I know you are going to make a difference in the world.  Maybe more than anything, I’m just grateful I got to share this chapter of life with you.
