I was running pretty full out on Friday, so tomorrow is going to be my rest day for the week. It’s funny – I almost never get to take Sundays off. But tomorrow (or today, by now) is going to be a rare Sunday off. I’ll be checking back in with the world on Monday morning.
But I just had to post something before that to celebrate the power of today’s Passion Conference. Absolutely amazing. If you were there, I would love to hear the story of how God used the weekend in your life. You can email me if you want to share privately or you can post on the comments section here.
The point of sharing those stories isn’t to hype Passion – it’s to celebrate a great God who just did amazing things right here in our city. I can’t wait to see what that God is going to do with all of us this week!
Not the full story of the weekend by any stretch of the imagination, but I am just SO excited for what I know God is going to do in the hearts of all the Gathering people who came out tonight. Just seeing 17 or so AU students just gets me pumped up for what is about to happen at AU in the coming months! Greater things have yet to come and greater things are still to be done here!
This weekend was a confirmation to a lot of students that God is ready and waiting to let loose on AU’s campus. And I think a lot of the AU students who went this weekend are ready to jump into that and spread the fame of Christ at AU and in the District. It was so encouraging to be together with so many other college students of the same heart.
And praying over GMU as a group last night…there was one Gathering 703 student behind me and it was such a blessing to pray over her and her campus.
And let’s keep praising without abandon like that in our weekly services guys, no reason to reign it in!
1) Being reinvigorated by the awesomeness of jumping up and down and shouting the name of Jesus with 3,000+ people who live to see Christ’s name made famous….a precious tiny tiny glimpse of what it will be like to stand in His glory one day and praise with the entire party!
2) Remembering once again that all I need is to fix my eyes on the cross of Jesus Christ and the inevitable result is Him being glorified in me in every aspect of my daily life. Thank you for the cross, my friend! The lover of my soul! Thank you, Father God, for coming in power and stirring a revival in your children. Hosanna in the highest!
